Summer Foods That Keep You Swimsuit Ready

sangria It is summer time and the sun is out! That means that it is also swimsuit season. Below is a list of summer foods you can eat and still be swimsuit ready all summer long!

1. Iced Green Tea - Instead of grabbing a latte grab a Green Iced Tea. Research shows that Green tea helps speed up your metabolism and helps your body burn more fat.

2. Shrimp Cocktail - With only 22 calories in four large shrimp - you can even have seconds.

3. Watermelon - It is a natural thirst quencher and with only 92 calories in 2 cups it is a great and filling snack!

4. Vegetable Kebabs - You can grill almost any fruit or vegetable. With all the BBQ’s coming up make sure to eat your fare share of vegetable kebabs!

5. Fruit Salsa - Grab some mango, pineapple and honeydew add some cilantro, white onion and a squeeze of lime to taste and you have created fruit salsa. This great low calorie topper is good to add on fish, salads and even chips!

6. Fudge Pops - When it is hot Fudge pops are the best treat! With no fat and only 45 calories a serving go for it!

7. Sangria - If you are looking for a good alternative to a Margarita try Sangria. Sangrias are made with fresh chopped fruit, flavored seltzer and wine. This is much lower in calories then any Margarita or Daiquiri I know of!

You guessed it…Swimwear Season

It is that time a year again where we bear all in swimwear. What are the latest styles when it comes to swimsuits? How do you know what swimsuit is going to look the best on your body type?

When it comes to the latest styles on swimwear it seems like not much has changed. Sexy swimwear has always been a trend and this season is no exception. Two-piece swimwear is everywhere and you can even find an occasional one-piece suit that is super stylish.

The latest trend I have seen with swimwear is a two-piece suit joined by a strip of fabric down the middle joining the two pieces like Audrina wore in the last episode of The Hills.

As far as what swimsuit looks best on what body type …whether you have a large stomach, large hips, large chest or combination problems the right swimsuit can take pounds off you!

Large Stomach – Be sure to choose bold colors and patterns. Doing so is great for distracting away from the stomach area.  Also if you choose a swimsuit that has a pattern in the chest area it will also pull attention away from your stomach. Tankinis work great because they cover up any bugles and unwanted roles.

Large Butt – Always wear darker colors they do a great job slimming problem areas. Large prints also do the same thing. Go for a higher cut leg and avoid Boy shorts – they only make your butt appear bigger!

Wide Hips – Go with dark colors and large prints. Avoid lighter colors and small floral prints.  Also anything that can draw attention to your bust will take away attention to your hips ☺
